Glossa Beach

 

Glossa, a small paradise that you should definitely visit, just 10 minutes from the beach of Viodokilia and you think you are on an uninhabited island.
It has a small, narrow opening between the rocky volumes that hardly allow the water to enter.

However, it gradually widens, leaving more space for the sandy beach to expand and welcome its bathers. The water is always nice and calm. It is definitely the right destination for nudists and the lovers of alternative entertainment…

Pylos Beach

In the city of Pylos, there is no large beach such as those that you will find during your visit in the wider area of the municipality of Pylos including the beaches of Chrissi Akti and Voidokoilia. 

However, visitors will definitely cool off in the two little cavities with fresh water that are formed along the deck. This is the only part of the coast that allows visitors to come closer to the sea and enjoy a quick swim. Many swimmers and an abundance of children prefer this deck for their fancy dives in the clear waters.
The beach of Pylos is right below the area where the taverns and coffee shops are.

Many residents of the hotels near this spot, but also many inhabitants of Pylos prefer to take a quick swim here! Generally, it is a quit busy spot, especially during the summer months.

Gialova Beach

 

Divari is a long sandy beach which starts at the end of Gialova village and continuous forward to the Pylos lagoon and the old Navarino castle. It comprises the north part of Navarino bay and actually divides it from the lagoon. The beach is also known as Golden Beach.

Divari has a narrow but very long beach strip (about 1.5 km). Beach Bars, water activities and water sports during the summertime. The water is shallow and suitable for kids, waves are rare even in windy days. Divari beach ends with the north end of the bay, just below the old Navarino castle.

In this part the island of Sfaktiria with its Sikia beach is so close, that you can easily swim to it from Divari.

A beach enjoyed by many generations, but forgotten by most of some of us, in favor of more trendy beaches. Not always a bad thing, how could someone enjoy it, during August, empty and silent after all?
